Type of Track

Purchased: Indicates a track that has been purchased from Rhapsody.

Streamed: A track that is streamedProcess of breaking a large audio or video file into smaller pieces and transferring it, piece by piece, so it can be viewed immediately rather than waiting for the whole file to be downloaded. from Rhapsody's serversAny computers or programs that are ‘serving’ information to another machine or program; RealServers, for instance, serve content to Rhapsody..

Downloaded: A Rhapsody track that has been downloaded to your computer, but not purchased.

Imported (no icon): A localMusic files saved on your computer's hard drive(s) are referred to as "local." track that has been imported from your hard drive or from a CD.

What does it do?

Rhapsody Music Guide:

• Click to open the Rhapsody Music Guide.

My Library:

• Drag and drop tracks to this icon to add to My Library.
  
  
• Click to show the contents of My Library in the Display area.

My Channels:

• Drag and drop Rhapsody channels from the Rhapsody Radio Channel Guide to this icon to add them to My Channels.
  
  
• Click to view My Channels, your personal collection Rhapsody channels.

CD: This is a transient icon. It appears whenever you insert a prerecorded CD in your CD drive while Rhapsody is running.

• Click to view the CD's contents in the Display area.

Portable Device: This is a transient icon. It appears whenever you connect a portable device to your computer while Rhapsody is running.

• Click to view the Portable Device Dashboard.
  
  
• Drag and drop tracks, photos and videos to the portable device icon to transfer them.

Portable Device Expandable: The plus sign next to the portable device indicates that there are contents on the device, like tracks, Rhapsody Radio channels, photos, or playlists. Click the plus sign to expand the list:

Tracks: Click to see the tracks on your device in the Display area.

Rhapsody Radio channels: Click to see the Rhapsody channels on your device in the Display area.

Photos: Click to view the photos on your device in the Display area.

Videos: Click to view the videos on your device in the Display area.

Device Playlists: Click to view a list of playlists on your device in the Sources area.

Individual Device Playlist: Click to view this device playlist in the Display area.

Burn a CD:

• Drag and drop music to this icon to create a burn queue.
  
  
• Click to view and edit your burn queue, and to burn your CD.

Purchase Bin: Appears when you have a portable device connected to your computer, but you don't have a Rhapsody To Go subscription. Any streamed tracks you try to transfer will be added to the Purchase Bin, so you can choose to buy them or not.

• Click to purchase tracks and transfer them to your portable device.

Source in Use: Indicates the source that is currently playing music. For example, if you are playing a track from a CD, this image will appear next to the CD name in the Sources area.

Type of Playlist

Local Playlist: Indicates a playlist that has been created from one or more localMusic files saved on your computer's hard drive(s) are referred to as "local.", non-Rhapsody tracks.

Only Rhapsody tracks in a local playlist can be shared. If there are no Rhapsody tracks in the playlist, it can't be shared at all.

Rhapsody Playlist: Indicates a playlist that has been created by you by you from one or more Rhapsody tracksTracks that have been streamed, downloaded, or purchased from Rhapsody., or added from Playlist Central.

Empty playlists will also display this icon.

Autoplaylist: A special playlist you create, using rules you set.

Dynamic Playlist: A playlist that will be constantly updated with fresh tracks by Rhapsody.

What does it do?

Rating Selector: Indicates that the associated track, album, artist, or playlist can be rated. Appears throughout the Music Guide pages.

• Click a star to rate the track, album, or artist.

Playlist Central Rating Selector: Found on individual playlist pages in Playlist Central.

• Click a number to rate the playlist.
  
  Note: Rating a playlist does not affect your ratings in the rest of Rhapsody.

What's New: Indicates the What's New page in the Music Guide.

Music Guide: Indicates the Music Guide pages.

Radio: Indicates the Rhapsody Radio Channel Guide pages in the Music Guide.

Playlist Central: Indicates the Playlist Central pages in the Music Guide.

My Rhapsody: Indicates the My Rhapsody page in the Music Guide.

Error: Appears at the bottom of the Display area when there has been an error during playback, downloading, transfer, or CD burning.
