Rhapsody Service

Rhapsody service is the power behind Rhapsody Software. Rhapsody service supplies the music, keeps My Library up to date, provides you with Rhapsody Channels, the Playlist Central online community, and manages your downloads. Your software connects to Rhapsody service through the internet. Because your account information and Rhapsody content are on servers instead of any individual computer, your music is infinitely portable.

Much of what you see in the Display area comes from Rhapsody service. What you can do with Rhapsody service depends on your subscription. You can use Rhapsody service for free, or get even more from a premium membership. The Rhapsody Service also brings you Rhapsody Online, a streamlined, internet version of Rhapsody that you can access from almost anywhere.

Just sign in to your Rhapsody membership to start letting the Rhapsody Service work for you.

What do I get with my free membership?

With a Rhapsody-Free membership, you can use the following Rhapsody features and areas:

What You Get With Your Free Membership:

The Music Guide

The Music Guide has over two million tracks for you to explore and listen to. Rhapsody-Free gives you 25 free streams a month. You can play one song 25 times, 25 different songs one time each, or any combination. Look in the Music Info area in the upper right of the Rhapsody player controls to see how many streams you have left for the current month.

The Play button in the Music Guide will return to (30-second samples) once you have listened to all of your free streams for any given month, until the next month's cycle begins.

Note:  Unused track plays do not transfer over to the next month.

Use the Music Guide as your personal music store. Click Buy to purchase a song and add it to My Library. Listen to it all you want,  burn it to CD, or transfer it to a portable player or device.
