Preferences: My Library

Use these preferences to control how tracks, as well as photos and videos, are stored in and deleted from My Library. Access these preferences at Tools > Preferences: My Library in the Rhapsody menus.

What do My Library preferences do?

Use these preferences to customize options regarding My Library.

My Library Preferences

Deletion Options:

Select options related to how you will delete tracks from My Library.

Ask for confirmation...

(Default: On) When enabled, Rhapsody will ask for confirmation before deleting any tracks, photos, or videos from My Library.
 

Note: Select Also delete...from my hard drive in the "Confirm ...deletion" dialog before clicking OK to remove the track, photo, or video from your hard drive as well as your Library.

Remove from hard drive...

(Default: Off) When enabled, deleting tracks, photos or videos from My Library will also delete the associated local file.
 

Warning: If you do not have Ask for confirmation... selected in My Library Preferences, but you do have Remove from my hard drive... selected, you will delete tracks, photos and videos from your hard drive whenever you delete them from My Library, and you will not be warned first.

Add to Library Options:

Select options regarding how Rhapsody will add tracks to My Library from the Music Guide.

Download tracks..:

(Default) With the appropriate membership and when available, Rhapsody downloads a track file when a Rhapsody track is added to My Library.

Downloaded Rhapsody tracks can be listened to while offline, and with the appropriate membership, transferred to a compatible portable device. Downloaded Rhapsody tracks cannot be burned to CD unless they are purchased.

Track File Format:

Select the file format you'd like to use when saving tracks to your hard drive.

Let Rhapsody decide...

Allow Rhapsody to decide how to save the files.

RAX (Real Audio)

Save as rights-protected Real Audio files. Select this option if you have a Sansa e200R Rhapsody portable player.

WMA (Windows Media Audio)

Save as Windows Media Audio files. WMA files are compatible with PlaysForSure portable players. Select this option to transfer files to a PlaysForSure portable player other than a Sansa e200R Rhapsody, or if you wish to stream tracks to your home audio device.

Add tracks as streams only..:

Adds only a bookmark to My Library when a Rhapsody track is added.
 

Note: Downloaded Rhapsody tracks are only available to users on Windows XP systems. Operating Systems prior to XP cannot support downloaded Rhapsody tracks  at this time.
