Preferences: Connection

Use your Connection preferences to change your normal connection speed, how Rhapsody works with the internet, and proxy settings. Access them at Tools > Preferences: Connection in the Rhapsody menus.

What do Connection preferences do?

Use these preferences to select how Rhapsody will connect to the internet.

Select your connection speed from the drop-down list.

Assume I am always connected..:

(Default: Off) When selected, Rhapsody will not try to connect to the internet when start the program.

Enable Proxy:

(Default: Off) Select to enable a proxy. A proxy is a server that acts as an intermediary between a protected Local Area Network (LAN) and the internet. The proxy server ensures that all data transmission between the internet and a user on the LAN is authorized. When a proxy is enabled, enter the correct proxy address and port number in the server port field.
 

Basic Authorization: Select to enable username and password authorization when you are using a proxy. Enter your username and password in the appropriate fields.
