Menu: My Account

Use the My Account menu to view and modify your account, authorize and deauthorize computers and portable devices,  and update your track licenses.

What can I do in the Rhapsody My Account menu?

Option

 

What Does it Do?

Manage My Account...

Opens Rhapsody account information page. Sign in to view and edit your account information. You can also check to see if you have copies of all the tracks that you have purchased and downloaded from Rhapsody onto any of your authorized computers.

 

Account Summary

 

View and update your membership status, email address, credit balance, and information on coupons or prepaid cards.

Account Information

View and edit your email address, password, and membership status; change membership levels.

Billing Information

 

View and update your billing information.

Billing History

 

View the billing history for your Rhapsody account, including monthly fees and download fees.

 

Credits

 

Displays any credits you have on your account.

Preferences

 

Edit your email preferences, and the parental controls for your account.

Authorizations

 

Displays the number and type of authorized computers and portable devices. From here you can rename, authorize, and deauthorize your computers and devices.

You can have up to three (3) authorized computers and three (3) authorized devices.

 

Re-Download Tracks

Click to download to your current computer any Rhapsody tracks you have purchased on another computer, or to re-download purchased tracks that failed to download properly the first time.

You can download purchased tracks up to three (3) times at no additional charge.

 

Authorize/

Deauthorize Computer

Select to authorize or deauthorize your computer. (You can also do this from My Account > Manage My Account: Authorizations, above.)

 

Manage My Devices...

Select to authorize or deauthorize your portable players or devices. Devices must be connected to your computer to deauthorize.  To change your device authorization:

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. Click the Authorizations link on the left side of the My Account menu.
Warning: Once you have deauthorized a device, you will no longer be able to play or transfer downloaded Rhapsody tracks with it.

Update Track Licenses

Select to update the track licences (DRM) for your purchased and downloaded tracks. (This should generally not be necessary, as Rhapsody updates your track licenses automatically.)
