Help Rhapsody

Playing and Importing CD Tracks

You can use Rhapsody to play commercially recorded and custom CDs. You can also import the tracks from any commercial or custom CD onto your computer. When you complete the CD importing process, the files will be automatically added to My Library as local tracks, and will appear in the Track Types column as "imported." The files themselves will be saved on your hard drive, in the folder you have selected in your General preferences.

What are Shuffle and Repeat in the Rhapsody player controls?

Rhapsody offers two custom playback options in the Rhapsody Player controls. Click Shuffle or Repeat to turn that feature on or off.

Shuffle and Repeat can be combined for playback so that the CD (or the track list in the Mixer) will repeat, randomizing the order of playback after each full play-through of the list or CD.

What is the CD view of the Display area?

Rhapsody can access all the compatible CD drives installed on your computer. Whenever you insert a prerecorded CD and Rhapsody is running, a CD icon ( ) and the name of the CD (if available) will appear in the Sources area. Click the CD icon to view the contents of the CD in the Display area (below).

From the CD view of the Display area, you can:

In your CD Importing and Playback Preferences, you can set Rhapsody to automatically display the contents of a CD as soon as it is inserted. If that preference is not selected, click the CD icon ( ) in the Sources area (left) to display a CD's contents. All CD drives that contain an audio CD appear in the Sources area.

If your CD drive is equipped with a CD burner, you can create your own music CDs. If you have more than one CD burner on your computer, you can choose your default burner in CD Burning Preferences.

Edit CD Info Using Track Info

You can edit the CD information displayed in the CD view of the Display Area using Track Info.
